Bruggaa

bruggaa – Verwurzelt in der Region. The Brugga River, an 18 km left tributary of the Dreisam in the southern Black Forest, is located east of Freiburg im Breisgau. It flows through the deepest valley in the German low mountain range, with a depth of 800m. It serves as the inspiration for the upcoming restaurant by Martin Hegar, aptly named “Bruggaa.”

The restaurant’s logo features a simple and geometric customized typeface, adorned with a spinning sigil resembling a compass needle, with a special emphasis on the double letter “a” in Bruggaa.

The color scheme draws inspiration from the elements of fire, water, and earth. These colors are predominantly used in the form of eco-friendly, uncoated natural paper.

The design’s highlight consists of single line-drawings inspired by the meandering characteristics of a river. These drawings depict objects related to the menu’s theme or nature motifs, providing a captivating visual representation.

Q21 – Poster Competition. Q21 provides workspace at the MuseumsQuartier Wien for around 50 initiatives, organizations, agencies and editorial offices working in the cultural sector and brings the creative aspect into one of the world’s largest complexes for art and culture.

Q21’s monthly program poster/flyer is designed by selected artists, such as designers, illustrators and photographers focusing on the Q of the brand and its various interpretations according to a specific subject.

I saw the invitation to this competition as an opportunity to explore my understanding of design and therefore designed a variety of posters in different styles. The jury chose two of my designs for their monthly program.

Q21’s month­ly pro­gram poster/flyer is designed by selected artists, such as design­ers, illus­tra­tors and pho­tog­ra­phers focus­ing on the Q of the brand and its var­i­ous inter­pre­ta­tions accord­ing to a spe­cif­ic subject.
